Weeks 8 and 9

We need constant reminders to help us stay on our path
or the ego takes over every time it gets a chance.

I noticed that the more I come near to what I know I need to do the more negativity and self doubt springs forward in my head. I need to remind myself that these negative thoughts - comparing to others, worthlessness, undeservedness, not being good enough, you know, these types - are the ego trying to stop me from doing my thing. Why? Because when I am doing my thing I connect to my higher self and ego temporarily looses control. And when it looses control it kinda doesn't exist anymore.

Did you notice this happening to you as well?

Despite the weird cold returning and me being a bit of a "meh" I still managed to get a few things done. Not to mention the work on my Super Secret Project :)

Connected to my opening thoughts are these "reminding bracelets" I made for a few of my very close friends. All of the bracelets have the person's "word of the year" written on and I hope they do their trick every time my friends catch a glimpse of them. I painted the fabric myself and must say I very much enjoyed the process. Now I only need to make myself one, or two :)

I also very much enjoyed packaging these bracelets up :) I just love stitching papers.

Time to post the last pages I did for the "art marks and words" challenge. I didn't finish the whole challenge but I did have much fun with it and learned quite a lot about myself in the process. Which was exactly what Rae Missigman intended so mission accomplished!

"Learn" emerged by itself. I only changed the rabbit ever so slightly (mouth and ears) but I was sorry for that later. Its mount was opened in kinda roaring/gasping way (I wasn't sure) but when I realized it meant I need to learn about myself the rabbit made a whole lot of sense - read my opening thoughts again :)

"Grace" is a word I see used a lot but can never really pinpoint. Maybe because it's in a foreign language but I think what ended up on my page is a pretty good idea of it.

I painted "less" with coffee - old mix of very strong instant coffee I prepared months ago. I guess that was the reason why it smelled funny and why it was so sticky after it dried :D

I love how "invent" happened. There's a whole universe behind the door if you open it (literally, I cut the doors to be opened). Invent if it doesn't exist!

My last one in this series was "build". I don't know why but "build" always brings bricks to my mind. Always. Probably because I love them so much. Or because I was trained as an architect :D

And finally, I made a few more wooden pins. They are available if you'd like to cheer yourself up :)

This is it! Whoa, doing two weeks in one post is loooong :) I hope you enjoyed the photos and the writings and that you'll let me know if you like the way I'm doing this.

I have to admit that I wanted to delete the first part so badly because - who am I to write such things? - but obviously, I managed to not to hit delete button. It was hard. I am very grateful for all the teachers I have had, and still have, around me that help me on my way. I am here to learn and experience after all. And to spread some inspiration and creativity around! ♥

See ya next week! I hope ;)

P.S.
My horizons started broadening after I enrolled in Clairvision School of Meditation, did my Reiki trainings, and started to learn A LOT from Guy Steven Needler. (Just in case you were wondering :) )
