Creativity heals on many levels and it is the simplest form of meditation. This is why
I am inviting you to a weekly creative journey that will be inspired
by an "artsy image prompt" that will be sent directly to you.
This is my offer for 2023, a yearly creative project in which I send you an image every Monday and you can work with it in any way you like. Think of it as a warm up before you do YOUR thing, a warm up that sparks your imagination and gets you creating freely. It really is a simple, joyful and freeing process. Join me via my Patreon page, I'll be honored to provide inspiration to you.
Mechanics
Every Monday I will publish a post with a brand new image for you to download and play with. You can print it out on a thicker paper and use anything you fancy working with - think watercolors, crayons, acrylics, plain pens and pencils, whatever you feel like using at the moment. OR, if you have a drawing app on your tablet, import the image into it and have lots of fun with adding what you see there. Let your imagination run wild and trust me, you’ll know what to do once you receive it :)
The image itself will be an A4 size if you choose to print it out. You can of course print it out smaller, it will be yours to create with, in any way you want.
Join me, it's fun! :)

This was the image for Week 1 and I decided to use my crayons and watercolors on it. The way I go about these is, I observe the image and turn it around until something jumps out at me. When I notice something, I outline it and color it in or I just go in straight with colors, depends on my mood really :) Then, while I am coloring or outlining, something else jumps out. This dance between moving forward and enjoying the coloring gets me through the whole page and I end up with very unexpected results. Some friends have commented there are stories in these images and I believe they are very right.
The main thing I do my best to follow here is - to have FUN and just PLAY with my art supplies. I have no expectations nor am I after a perfect result. This is basically art therapy, because spending time in creative energies always uplifts me. Always. And I am 100% sure it does the same to you or you just wouldn't have ended up reading this.

I believe this process is all about Connecting to Our Creative Self
I think challenging myself to finish all these “arty prompts” will for certain get my personal style out. Why? Because these pages are not blank and terrifying, there is no “wordy” prompts for me to work with nor please anyone's wishes and ideas. Instead, I will have a visual nudge to spark my own imagination and portray what wants to come out through me. And because it is me who is birthing the images, they will undoubtedly be in my very own personal style. How could they be anything else? Right?
Anything else to know?
There really is no right or wrong way to go about completing these weekly prompts. You can also cover the page with paint if you choose to do so and leave only parts of what’s on it visible if that’s what gets you going. You can cut up the whole image and re-glue it, use other elements with it, do whatever your Muse wants you to do. Nothing is off limits. Having creative fun is the name of this game. Who knows, maybe you end up with a solo show at the end of the year? Wouldn’t that be cool? Or a lovely art book to flip through? Or maybe you get a whole story out of this. Who knows what’s in store for you. All I know is, that this really is a fun way to enjoy art making and I’d love for you to experience it.
What say you? Would you like to try? You can sign up for as long as you want and cancel your subscription at any time. It really doesn't cost much - it is only 5$ per month. Go on, give this play a try :) Clicking on the button below will get you to Patreon where you can join my Weekly Creative Boost tier:
